Anna Werblińska née Barańska (born May 14, 1984 in Świdnica) is a Polish volleyball player, member of the National Team of Poland in the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing.[1]

Werblińska, who is 178 centimeters tall and weighs 69 kilograms, began her career at the local club Polonia Świdnica, which played in the Second League.[1] In 1999, while playing for Polonia, she won silver medal at the Junior Championships of Poland, and in 2001, she moved to Wrocław, where remained until 2005, playing for Gwardia Wrocław. In 2005 Werblińska changed clubs again, moving to Winiary Kalisz,[2] where she won Championships of Poland. This success was repeated in 2006.[1]

On international level, Werblińska won silver medal of European Cadet Championships and bronze of World Cadet Championships (both in 2001). In 2003, she won gold at the European Junior Championships, and next year - bronze in the World Junior Championships. In 2006 Andrzej Niemczyk named her a national team player, Werblińska debuted on May 26, 2006, in a game vs USA. After unsuccessful Olympic Games, in which Poland was eliminated in the group stage, Anna moved to Bielsko-Biała, to play for BKS Aluprof Bielsko-Biała. She was originally scheduled to be the captain for the team, but turned down that position in January 2010.[3] In the 2009 European Championship she won the bronze medal after Poland beat Germany 3-0 in the third place game.[1]
